Located in the beautiful southeast corner of BC, in the heart of the Kootenays, Wine Works is a full service UVin winemaking and supplies company. We are proud, perhaps even boastful, that we were the first store of it's kind in both Cranbrook and Kimberley, two communities we feel very passionate about and at home in. We are the premier shop for all things fermentation, and take pride in helping our customers create their own delicious wines they can be proud to share or happy to hoard! While our vast amount of experience in the UVin arena will always be the backbone of our company, we never turn down the opportunity to apply fresh energy, new ideas, and continued hard work into our operations. We welcome our customers like family, and are always thrilled to help people for the first time.
Hi Everyone. My name is Grady Pasiechnyk and I could not possibly be more excited to introduce myself as the owner and chief taster at Wine Works.
I grew up in Kimberley but spent 8 formative years after high school living in Alberta. After spending 6 years in Lethbridge, playing college volleyball and soaking up business knowledge at the University of Lethbridge, I was hired by the Canadian Ski Team as the National Events Manager, which allowed me to travel around Canada overseeing the high level ski races in our beautiful country. I’ve been reminded time and time again, as I travelled back and forth across North America, that there is truly no better place than the Kootenays to live and raise a family. I’m lucky enough that my wife Corissa, who also grew up in Kimberley, is a school teacher and had a viable career path waiting here at home [Corissa teaches grade 2 at Lindsay Park Elementary]; however, it was always a challenge trying to find a career for me and as somebody who grew up on the ski hill, leaving a dream job at Alpine Canada was going to take a truly once in a lifetime opportunity back here in the Kootenays.
As luck would have it, the opportunity to purchase Wine Works presented itself to us and we innocently started to look into the possibility of moving home. I quickly found out, Wine Works has worked hard to build an incredible customer base, paired with an delicious array of products, and the friendliest most knowledgeable (not to mention hardest working) staff in the business. It was obvious I’d found my once in a lifetime opportunity and on May 31st, 2014 we took over the drivers seat of Wine Works in Cranbrook and Kimberley.
On behalf of our dedicated staff Amanda, Wendy, Brenda and Nola, let me say thanks for your support and here’s to a wonderful and delicious future for many years come!
